Vietnam currently has become the leading plywood manufacturer in the world. One of the reasons for the popularity of Vietnam plywood is core veneer has owned some characteristics that make Vietnam plywood different and favored by many end-users.

1 . Vietnam plywood core veneer is Harwood material

The most popular and abundant species of Harwood for plywood manufacturing in Vietnam is Eucalyptus, Acacia, Rubber, Styrax, … These trees are easy to grow, and well adapted to the climate in Vietnam, it takes only 5-7 years to harvest these trees on average. These hardwoods have many outstanding features for plywood manufacturing such as this wood holds nails, screws, and glues well, is easy to color, and can be sanded and polished to a great finish. Wood is easy to cut with both hand tools and machines. The ability to resist termites and the ability to bear strong and strong impacts of wood is very good.

2 . Core Veneer Plywood with special technical specifications

The veneer is so important input material of plywood production, so the quality of core veneers must control strictly before using them in manufacturing. Vietnamese core veneer plywood with normal thickness from 1.7 to 2mm, moisture under 20% drying or under 14% drying. There are two popular veneer drying methods: air-drying and forced-drying.

Both methods create the highest quality veneer sheets for plywood production. Plywood is made from multi-layers of veneer, the veneer after drying will be glued by specializing glue and then layering together, from at least 3 layers of veneer. 3 . Core Veneer Plywood with a variety of quality

Vietnamese core veneer plywood is divided into  3 grades: Grade A, B, and C. These grades suit all plywood manufacturing purposes from high grade to low grade.

With high plywood standards with high quality, core veneer with Grade A: no rough, no mold, not tear at the head, not detects in the side would be very suitable. Types of high plywood are using this core type such as Pro form film faced plywood, birch plywood

4 . Abundant and sustainable source of core veneer

Besides exporting plywood, Vietnam also exports core veneer to serve the needs of plywood production in the world as well as provide an abundant source of hardwood to diversify wood sources.
